AI Framework for Holistic Designers

Dual-Track + 4D methodology to integrate AI into brand and product design processes. AI proposes speed, humans bring judgment.

🎯 Methodology: Dual-Track + 4D 🧠 4 Design Phases 💎 Prompt Library 📋 Executive Summary Template
🧭
Block 01 · Framework Philosophy

AI proposes. The Human disposes.

The Framework doesn't replace the designer's judgment — it amplifies it. AI contributes speed and volume; the human contributes context, ethics and the final decision. Without human oversight, AI has no direction.

💡 Core principle
"AI proposes (speed), the Human disposes (judgment)." — Every AI action must pass through human validation before entering the project.

Speed

AI generates in seconds what would take us hours: benchmarks, names, palettes, base code.

🎯

Judgment

The designer evaluates, selects and discards. AI doesn't decide — it proposes options for you to choose from.

🔁

Dual-Track

Two parallel flows: one creative (human) and one operational (AI). They intersect at validation points.

🛡️

3 Diligences

Creation · Transparency · Deployment. Ethical responsibility in every AI deliverable.

⚠️ The 3 Diligences of the Designer with AI

Ethical responsibility in every deliverable

🔨 Creation Diligence: Declare which parts of the work were generated or assisted by AI. Don't present AI output as 100% your own work.
👁️ Transparency Diligence: Inform the client or collaborator about AI use in the process when relevant to decision-making.
🚀 Deployment Diligence: Verify that AI-generated content is appropriate, accurate and safe before publishing or delivering to the client.

Block 02 · Methodology

Collaboration Framework: Design + AI

The 4 phases of the Double Diamond applied to collaborative design with AI. In each phase, AI and human have differentiated roles that complement each other.

D1

Discover — Discovery

Context audit and competitive analysis
🤖 AI does
  • Audits competitors and generates benchmark analysis
  • Extracts market patterns and industry trends
  • Generates summaries of prior research
  • Identifies gaps in client positioning
👤 Human does
  • Validates that identified competitors are the right ones
  • Adds qualitative context that AI can't capture
  • Discards irrelevant or incorrect outputs
  • Formulates the key strategic questions
D2

Define — Strategic Definition

Mission, Vision, Purpose and Values
🤖 AI does
  • Generates variants of Mission, Vision and Purpose
  • Proposes brand archetypes and value territories
  • Structures the Elevator Pitch (Gap + Opportunity + UVP)
  • Drafts Strategic Core options
👤 Human does
  • Selects and refines the strategic direction
  • Validates coherence with the client's real culture
  • Evaluates strategic logic with professional judgment
  • Anchors values to concrete behaviours
D3

Develop — Creative Development

Naming, visual identity and design system
🤖 AI does
  • Generates up to 50 naming options per category
  • Proposes colour palettes, typography and visual references
  • Creates initial Brandbook: tone, voice, visual grammar
  • Drafts Content Strategy and key messages
👤 Human does
  • Curates and selects among generated options
  • Verifies name and domain availability
  • Applies aesthetic and brand judgment to the visual system
  • Adapts tone to the client's real personality
D4

Deliver — Delivery and Deployment

Code, documentation and brand activation
🤖 AI does
  • Generates base code for UI components and design tokens
  • Produces technical documentation of the Design System
  • Creates UX heuristic analysis and improvements list
  • Drafts usage guides and client onboarding
👤 Human does
  • Applies the 3 Diligences (Creation, Transparency, Deployment)
  • Reviews final accessibility and usability
  • Ensures global coherence of the deliverable
  • Presents and supports the client in activation

📐 Framework Summary
Discover → AI audits, Human validates · Define → Human drives strategy, AI structures · Develop → AI generates volume, Human curates · Deliver → AI produces assets, Human applies the 3 Diligences.

📋
Block 03 · Documentation Template

Executive Summary Structure

Standard template for documenting brand and product projects. Modular structure combining strategy, identity and operations in a single reference document.

01
Elevator Pitch — Identified gap + Market opportunity + Unique Value Proposition (UVP). Maximum 3 sentences.
02
Strategic Core — Mission (what we do and for whom), Vision (where we're going), Purpose (why we exist), Values (how we behave).
03
Branding Strategy — Brand archetype, personality, tone of voice, visual territory and competitive positioning.
04
Product / UX Strategy — Main jobs-to-be-done, key flows, product design principles and success metrics.
05
Business Model — Customer segment, channels, value proposition, revenue streams and cost structure.
06
Deliverables Roadmap — Phase table with responsible parties, dates and acceptance criteria per deliverable.

🤖 AI Instructions Section — The Executive Summary includes a final block with the project's master system prompt: context, tone, restrictions and objectives loaded into Claude at the start of each work session.

ElementKey questionFormat example
MissionWhat do we do, for whom and how do we do it differently?"We help [who] to [what] through [how]."
VisionWhat will the world look like when we achieve our goal?"A world where [desired state of market or user]."
PurposeWhy do we exist beyond economic benefit?"We exist to [concrete human or social impact]."
ValuesWhat behaviours are non-negotiable?3–5 values + description of observable behaviour.
